Founded in Brisbane in 2014, The Barkada Project was created from a desire to see Filipino identity better represented through sport. Through sportswear and streetwear, the brand creates pieces that allow Filipinos to proudly carry their culture on and off the field.

Behind The Barkada Project is Elvis Jensen, someone who has supported our organisation and Filipino rugby league for a long time.
Long before this sponsorship, Elvis was there behind the scenes - supporting the organisation, our teams and the direction we were working towards. That makes this partnership particularly special.
As The Barkada Project enters this new chapter, Elvis is choosing to give back to the same Filipino sporting community he has been invested in for years.

Helping Make Rugby League More Accessible
Throughout our 2026 Heritage Rugby League campaign, supporters can use the discount code PARL26 to receive 10% off purchases from The Barkada Project.
The Barkada Project will then donate 10% back to PARL, with those funds going towards subsidising player registration fees.
It means every purchase can play a small part in helping Filipino athletes take the field, represent their heritage and be part of the growing Philippines Rugby League community in Australia.
Their support will also be seen at our Three Nations Game Day, with The Barkada Project providing black and white tribal caps to our Tamaraws coaches and managers, as well as prizes across all four teams and for our Shield awards.
