The Filipino rugby league community in Australia is entering a new chapter.

After years of growth as RLNP Australia Inc., we are proud to officially move forward as Pilipinas Australian Rugby League (PARL) - a name and identity that better reflects who we are, who we represent, and where we're heading.

This isn't simply a logo change.

It's a commitment to building stronger rugby league pathways for Filipino athletes, growing our presence within Australian rugby league, and creating more opportunities for our community both on and off the field.

Why We Changed Our Name

For many years, RLNP Australia Inc. has provided opportunities for Filipino heritage players to represent their culture through rugby league.

As our organisation continued to grow, it became clear that we needed a name that immediately communicated our purpose.

Pilipinas Australian Rugby League tells our story in three simple words.

We are proudly Filipino.

We are proudly Australian.

And rugby league is the game that brings us together.

The new name provides greater clarity for players, families, sponsors, sporting organisations, and supporters while positioning us for future growth across Australia.

A New Brand for a Growing Organisation

Alongside our new name comes a new visual identity.

The PARL logo was designed to be professional, timeless, and instantly recognisable.

At its centre sits a gold shield - representing strength and unity. The shield brings together elements of both Filipino and Australian identity, reflecting the journey of many players and families within our community. The design celebrates dual heritage while looking confidently toward the future.

The typography takes inspiration from traditional Filipino street signage, creating a subtle connection to our culture while maintaining a clean and modern appearance.

The result is a brand that feels authentic to who we are today while providing a strong foundation for the years ahead.

The logo and branding was created by Filipino-Australian designer Angelica Flores from Gels.Design. Supporting Filipino-owned businesses remains important to our organisation, and we're proud to work alongside members of our community who share our vision.

Building Rugby League Pathways for Filipino Athletes

While the branding may be new, our mission remains unchanged.

PARL exists to create opportunities for Filipino athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and supporters within rugby league.

Across Australia, there are talented Filipino players looking for pathways to develop their skills, represent their heritage, and compete at higher levels of the game.

Our goal is to continue building those pathways.

From junior development programs and representative opportunities to community events and high-performance initiatives, we want Filipino athletes to know there is a place where they belong and where their culture is celebrated.
